Edge Entertainment is proud to announce the recent acquisition of two coveted titles. Agnus Dei by Anne Fontaine and Suburra from the creators of the hit series Gomorrah.
Agnus Dei by Anne Fontaine was one of the most talked-about titles on the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin. After the acclaimed world premiere at Sundance, the film now have distribution in Sweden, Finland, Iceland and the Baltic states by Edge Entertainment.
The film takes place in Poland, 1945. A young French doctor meets a nun in desperate need of help. When she arrives at the convent, she realizes that the nuns have been subjects of brutal assault which caused several nuns to become unwillingly pregnant and she ends up being their only hope.
Suburra by Stefano Sollima is a mafia film in the vein of Gomorrah. The film was very well received at the Italian premiere in October and in 2017 there will be a Netflix tv-series by the same creator and with the same name. Edge Entertainment distributes the film in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland.
