Edge Entertainment is proud to announce the recent acquisition of the documentary The First Monday in May which opens the Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday on 13 April.
Director Andrew Rossi captures with his documentary The First Monday in May a fascinating combination of high fashion and celebrities on one of the world's biggest fashion events. Together with Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, and Andrew Bolton of The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, we get to follow the work of last year's grand MET gala and exhibition "China: Through The Looking Glass". In the documentary, we also meet big personalities such as Baz Luhrmann, Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld, Wong Kar-wai and Rihanna.
The First Monday in May is a fashion documentary in the vein of The September Issue and comes from the same team that gave us the critically acclaimed documentary Page One: Inside the New York Times.
The First Monday in May has it's world premiere during the Tribeca Film Festival and subsequently theatrical release in the United States. Edge Entertainment has bought the rights for the film in the Nordic and Baltic regions and it is expected to have it's Swedish premiere late 2016.
