After a successful visit at European Film Market in Berlin, Edge Entertainment can proudly present the acquisition of Francois Ozon's upcoming film "Summer of 85". The film aims for world premiere at Cannes 2020
Shortly after his success with "By the Grace of God", which gave Swann Arlaud a César for best supporting actor this weekend, François Ozon is back with his 19th feature Summer of 85, which is currently in post-production and aims for world premiere at Cannes 2020.
Summer of 85 is a coming of age drama, following the newfound friendship between Alexis (Félix Lefebvre) and David (Benjamin Voisin) during one hot summer in Normandie. A friendship they could only dream of. But will the dream last more than one summer? The summer of 1985.
The film is both written and directed by the acclaimed french director and has a budget of 6 million euros. Edge Entertainment has acquired the rights for Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland from Playtime. Swedish premiere winter 2020.
